Summer Camp at CMCArts
For 8 weeks, 36 children ages 5-17 spent the summer at CMCArts engaging in field trips, arts and educational programming.
Freedom Swing
BrightSpark sponsored the Freedom Swing at the Midre Cummings Park. Board members volunteered for the building of the park in November of 2021 and attended the ribbon cutting.
Nita Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Program
Since the 2017-2018 school year, BrightSpark has been evaluating the VI Department Education funded afterschool program at the Eualalie Rivera K-8 school. Evaluation activities include site visits, data collection and
analysis and completing an evaluation report.
Animation Class at CMCArts
BrightSpark provided support for the animation class offered at CMCArts that served four youths interested in graphic design and animation over four class sessions.
Saturday Academics
BrightSpark provided tutoring services to high school and elementary students in math and reading during our saturday sessions.
Dominique James Reading Carnival and Book Fair
BrightSpark plans to restart its collaboration with the St. Joseph's High School to host the Reading Carnival and Book fair for the local community in 2025.
